TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL INTERVIEW

How do you prepare for an interview?

Did you know that most people come to interviews without any preparation?

BIG MISTAKE

You need to follow these 6 steps to generate recall in your interviewers…

1. Do a preliminary search on the interviewer.
2. Look for matches between your experience and the job offer.
3. Search the internet for information about the company and the specific department you are applying to.
4. Prepare examples and stories to solve situations or cases presented during the interview.
5. Give thanks for the opportunity at the beginning and end of the interview.
6. Bring ready questions you have about the company or the job offer.

After you've done the pre-preparation and once you're at the interview, be careful not to fit into these types of candidates:

The person who talks too much and leaves no room for the development of the interview,
The desperate person who pretends that can do it all,
The overconfident person who just talks about how amazing he/she/they is and thinks is the only person who could do the job,
The person who has not prepared the interview and does not know about the position or the company,
The insecure or nervous person who does not answer the questions or who evades giving concrete answers,
The person who blames others, family, personal situation or previous boss.

Try to have a balanced interview where you show your preparation and come across as a confident and calm person. Focus on answering what they are asking you.

Giving correct and accurate information will show that you understand instructions and are attentive to the conversation.

Remember that it is not true that the most qualified person is the one who keeps the job. If you do not communicate confidently and do not identify the needs of the company, another more skilled person could keep the job.

Communication will be your best ally to keep the position you have applied to.

It is essential to train for an interview and, for that, you need professional help.
